Today I released the 2nd video in a series of four comparing two different tilt pad bearings. Like the previous video, the animations where done in Blender. The sound editing was done in Adobe Audition.

3D Printer Time Lapse Video

The PrusaPrinter Forum has a post on creating a time lapse video of your 3D print. It utilizes an Adafruit Feather board (32u4 Bluefruit LE). The board emulates a Bluetooth keyboard and works like a selfie-stick. That’s what the article says. The only thing I would use a selfie stick for is to whack people who take selfies.
So this project is a combination of electronics, 3D printing and photography. It uses products from Adafruit and Prusa3D. I have had good experiences with both of these companies.
Quadcopter
I got a drone for Christmas. I would make a Blender model of it, but it is hard to replicate when it’s 50 feet in the air, stuck in a tree. On the flip side…I’m not the only one who has lost their drone. I found one similar to this on the sidewalk one day. I have no idea where it came from and no way to fly it…but I can model and animate it.
ABS Juice, Glue and Slurry
MatterHackers has an DIY piece on how to mix and use ABS solutions: Use the ABS Juice for better bonding to the print surface, ABS Glue is a better alternative to super glue and hide those seams with ABS Slurry.
Update 4/24/2019 (WARNING): I got a part so stuck to the table that I damaged the coating on my Prusa I3 MK2 table.
